Between 2004 and 2008, the Kiskunság National Park Directorate and its partners implemented a LIFE-Nature project targeting the in situ conservation of the strictly protected and globally endangered great bustard in Hungary. The project partners aimed at a 10% increase of the Hungarian population during the 4-year period.
